Privacy policy
Last updated: 15 September 2026. This policy applies to saviforex.com, the SaviForex booking and payment flow (including online checkout), and walk-in customers at our Bangalore desks.

2. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to quote, book, pay for, and hand over foreign exchange, and to meet Indian KYC / FEMA / RBI record-keeping rules:
- Identity and contact: name, mobile number, email (optional for guests), passport number, PAN (when INR is ₹50,000 or more, or as required).
- Travel purpose and supporting details you enter on the booking form (for example leisure, business, education).
- Booking details: currency, amount, product (notes or travel card), pickup desk, rate, INR payable, pay mode (Pay now or Pay on Delivery).
- Payment metadata from our payment gateway: payment id, order id, status, method category (for example UPI or card). We do not collect or store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN, or netbanking password. Those stay with the payment gateway.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and cookie / tag identifiers used for site function and measurement (including Google tags configured on this site).
- Messages you send via the contact form or WhatsApp.
If you create an account, we also store your login email and OTP verification events. We do not use passwords for customer login.
3. Why we use this information
- To create and fulfil your booking and to identify you at the till with passport and tickets.
- To take or verify INR payment through the payment gateway, issue refunds, and handle failed or cancelled payments.
- To meet KYC, anti-money-laundering, FEMA and tax record obligations.
- To contact you about pickup, documents, rate changes before payment, or a problem with an order.
- To improve the website, prevent fraud, and keep the service secure.
- To respond to regulators, banks, the payment gateway, or law-enforcement when legally required.
Legal bases include performance of the booking contract, compliance with Indian law, and legitimate interests in running a secure money-changing desk. Where consent is required (for example certain cookies), you can refuse non-essential cookies in your browser.
4. Payments
Online payments are processed by our payment gateway. When you click Pay now, you are taken to a hosted checkout. The gateway’s own privacy policy applies to data you enter on that checkout. We receive confirmation of success or failure, identifiers needed to match the payment to your SaviForex booking, and enough information to process refunds to the original method.
We do not sell payment data. We do not share card or UPI credentials with any other party because we never receive them.
5. Who we share data with
- Payment gateway — to create orders, capture payment, and refund INR.
- Our hosting and database providers — to store bookings and run saviforex.com.
- Google — measurement tags (gtag / Google Tag Manager) as configured on the site.
- Regulators, auditors, banks or courts — when Indian law requires it.
- Our staff at Kudlu and Hoodi — only as needed to serve your booking.
We do not sell personal data to advertisers or data brokers.
6. Cookies and similar technology
We use cookies and similar storage for session login (staff and customer), security, and analytics. You can block cookies in your browser; the site may then not remember a logged-in session. Third-party cookies may be set by Google and by the payment gateway when checkout is open.
7. Retention
Transaction, KYC and payment-reference records are kept for the period required under applicable Indian exchange-control, tax and AML rules (typically several years after the deal). Enquiry messages are kept as long as needed to handle the request and for a reasonable follow-up period. You may ask us to delete marketing notes; we cannot delete records we are legally required to retain.
8. Security
We use HTTPS on saviforex.com, restrict staff access to booking data, and keep card data off our servers by using hosted checkout. No method of transmission is perfectly secure. Do not send PAN or passport scans on public WhatsApp groups; use the desk numbers listed above or bring originals at pickup.
9. Your rights
Subject to Indian law (including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, as it applies), you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, correction of inaccurate data, or information about how it is used. Contact us using the details in section 1 or the contact form. We may need to verify your identity (for example passport at the desk) before we act.
10. Children
Bookings are intended for adult travellers or a parent/guardian booking for a family trip. We do not knowingly create online accounts for children under 18.
11. Grievance officer
For privacy complaints, write or call the Kudlu desk (primary) or Hoodi desk using the addresses and phones in section 1, marked “Privacy / grievance”. We aim to acknowledge within 3 working days and close the complaint within 30 days where the law allows.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change. Continued use of the website after an update means you accept the revised policy for new bookings.
